The Films Genre
The films genre is a musical. Two traits are that the main cast does the singing, and it also involves love of song and dance routines. The film was successful when it came out because of the actors and actresses. It got a couple of awards for the movie itself and Jean Hagen got an award. The films explicit meaning is that the new thing is sound in picture, a talking picture. The Implicit meaning is that how in real life people struggled with making a "talking picture' and how is was not easy. What does the film tell you about 1927 is that their was no sound. In 1952 shows that talking pictures were popular.

Amazing Grace
·                                      The dialogue in the movie set the tone of the movie really well. In one of the parts there was a Q&A where William was being asked questions, and he didn’t say yes or no, he talked with meaning and honesty. The dialogue was great, it flowed very well throughout the movie, and I felt as if I were with them.
