In Chariots of Fire, the acting was
okay, personally I didn’t like the main character and he ran, it was kind of
goofy too me. The five points covered in
class, it was pretty good, I’m not sure if the main character was popular in Hollywood
at the time, but that’s probably why they used some budget on some nobody. The
music in Chariots of Fire was really good; it made me feel the feeling it was supposed
to do to the audience. It was really beautiful music, and it was perfect in the
moments of the movie. The editing would use a L Cut, you could hear the music
at the beginning of one scene, and it would transition from another scene, but
you could still hear the music, and it matched the circumstances. The theme of the movie is just to prove their
selves. One man is devoted to God, and another man is Jewish. The camera
movement throughout the movie would me a wide shot, and you would just watch
them run around. I have no idea why this movie won the Oscar for best picture
in 1981, because I thought this was the most boring movie ever. I mean I love
running, I love sports, but this movie was really confusing, and I had no idea
what was actually going on the whole time. I didn’t even know who the main
character was.
